FITA Weekend

2nd/3rd August 2014

World Record Status

Saturday: 50m/70m rounds and H2H, Sunday: FITA 1440

Including the first annual Oxford Cup

Venue: Oxford Rugby Club, North Hinksey Village, Oxford OX2 0NA

Fees: £28 for both days (£29 for online payment), £15 for single day entry.

Priority will be given to two day entries.

Closing Date: July 20th, no refunds after this date.

Rounds: Saturday: qualifying rounds 50m for compounds, 70m for recurves, with H2H after lunch.

Sunday: Gents and Ladies FITA 1440 rounds - 90m/70m or 70m/60m on 122cm face; 50m/30m on 80cm face; compounds will be shooting on individual faces at 50m/30m.

Awards: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each category;

Annual Oxford Cup – club team award for compound and recurve teams, determined by score over both days. 3 archers per team, at least one of each gender.

Shooting: Rounds on both days will be shot in accordance with FITA rules of shooting.

Practice: There will be 45 minutes practice from 8.30am, and equipment inspection will be carried out during practice. Please mark all arrow holes, as these will be the faces used for the tournament.

Catering: Bacon rolls will be available for breakfast on both days; a hot lunch (roast pork rolls/chili or similar) will be available (while it lasts!), as well as sandwiches. Hot and cold drinks and snacks will be available on both days throughout.

Camping is available at £3 for the weekend, please indicate on the entry form if a camping space is required, or chose the correct option at the online entry.

The shoot will be conducted under GNAS rules and dress rule 307 will apply. Competitors at this shoot will be liable for drugs testing. Competitors approached to give samples must comply, and any refusal will be treated as a positive result. Where an entry form contains one or more junior entries, the parent or legal guardian of each junior archer must countersign the form to signify consent to the junior being tested if so approached. GNAS numbers must be included in the entry, or proof that affiliation fees have been paid will be required before shooting commences.

Oxford Archers and the ORFC, their agents or servants cannot accept responsibility for any loss, damage or injury howsoever caused. Entry to the tournament will be taken as acceptance of these conditions.
